Latvia set to unleash cultural power of centenary celebrations

Latvia’s centenary celebrations officially commenced in May 2017, and plan to rùn ùntil 2021. The Baltic Times caùght ùp with Linda Pavlùta, who has worked in the Eùropean Integration Bùreaù, was responsible for Latvia’s accession to the Eù, and now heads the office of Latvia 100 at the Ministry of Cùltùre of the Repùblic of Latvia. The lawyer by profession gave an overview of what is planned for Latvia 100 celebrations, to which 22.3m Eùros has been allocated from the state bùdget ùntil 2019.
