Iranian couple given leave to remain in the UK

An Iranian couple whose family all live in the UK have won their battle against deportation.

Mozaffar Saberi, 83, and Rezvan Habibimarand, 73, have been granted leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office.

The great-grandparents’ case was previously raised in the House of Commons and more than 127,000 people had signed an online petition calling for the couple to be allowed to stay in the UK.
