Care Worker Convicted Of Murdering Teenager Lucy McHugh

A care worker has been found guilty of murdering Southampton schoolgirl Lucy McHugh and dumping her body behind a sports centre.

Stephen Nicholson, of no fixed address, was accused of stabbing the 13-year-old in the neck and upper body before leaving her to die on July 25 last year.

The 25-year-old, who described the teenager as “stalkerish” and accused her of following him around, denied the charges.
